At a press conference today, APD’s Chief Harold Medina announced an officer related to the FBI raids and growing DWI scandal has resigned.

APD Chief Harold Medina said Alba on the eve of his internal affairs interview has chose to resign instead of do his IA interview scheduled for tomorrow.

Officer Alba just last year received the 2023 MADD Officer of the Year award for all of New Mexico for his work to combat drunk driving on the streets of ABQ.

The FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office have not unsealed any documents related to the search warrants nor their raids that happened at several APD officers homes, an attorneys home office, and that attorneys paralegal home.

The people that have been mentioned in our stories have not been formally charged with any crimes.
